Represent Anchor and its products to an active producer base within
the assigned territory. Call on designated accounts at prescribed
intervals within the territory to promote sales of Anchor products;
assist management in compiling a list of prospective producers/brokers
within the assigned territory for future appointments; appoint and
train quality producers/brokers who meet the Anchor criteria for an
appointment; conduct training on underwriting guidelines and
procedures on a continuous basis or as needed; obtain production from
agencies through a variety of sales and communication skills in order
to meet or exceed sales objectives and goals; maintain complete
knowledge of Anchor’s and competitor’s products and services; track
territory monthly production and agency problems using various tools
and reports; and develop and maintain the confidence and good will of
the producers/brokers by sustaining a courteous and friendly attitude
and good appearance.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university;
or 2-3 years insurance company/agency sales and/or related
non-standard automobile /homeowners insurance experience/training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of
credit-based products is a plus. A qualified candidate should be able
to read, analyze and interpret underwriting and procedure manuals; be
able to present and communicate information; have excellent reasoning,
oral and written communication skills; be able to apply concepts of
basic mathematical skills; and have the ability to write reports,
procedures and business correspondence.
