Job Description:

Identify claims with subrogation potential and actively pursue the collection of paid claims amounts from insurance companies and uninsured motorists and/or tort-feasors Review files routed to the Subrogation Unit for potential opportunities to recover amounts paid on the claim by the company.

Correlate relevant documentation in the file in preparation for Submission of Demand packet to adverse carrier or tort-feasor. Communicate and negotiate with adverse carrier or private party to recover loss dollars. Work in partnership with claims examiners to determine subrogation potential and develop investigation work plans for proper recovery. Oversee the collection process with third party administrators on uninsured claim files. Negotiate settlement payments with adverse UM driver Ability to determine liability/negotiate comparative negligence with other insurance companies/UM drivers. Ability to file arbitration contentions. Complete Internet location searches on claimants, suspects, or the insured. Bill, review, issue vendor payments. Copy files that are referred to legal counsel. Manage multiple projects at the same time. Build collaborative links between people. Set the appropriate example for others to follow. Accept constructive feedback and make sincere efforts to improve. Handle personnel issues effectively and confidentially. Other duties as assigned.
